波特市（德克萨斯州）：美国波特市一座历史悠久的谷物电梯于周日早晨发生火灾，该电梯建于1930年。
　　波特市消防局于周日早晨6点通知波特电梯公司。到达现场后，消防员发现这座年代久远的电梯已经起火。来自周边城市Canby, Taunton, , St. Leo 和Marshal市的消防局也纷纷过来援助救火。
　　救火小组队长DeSaer说：“主要电梯建筑已被烧毁，我们接到通知时，建筑屋顶已经起火了。”
　　DeSaer说这座建筑的金属外墙将火焰包裹在内，早晨无风的天气也有助于控制火势，“天气帮助了我们，当时没有风，火势较容易被控制。”
　　建筑周围没有消防设施，消防人员从附近的河中取水，输送到消防车中救火。谷物电梯整个被烧毁，消防人员将邻近建筑也喷上水，防止火势蔓延到其上面。
　　电梯拥有者Bruce Tetrick说着坐电梯建于1930年，火灾钱还在投入使用中，“不过重要的是无人伤亡。”
　　事故原因还在调查当中。

Fire destoys elevator in Porter

　　PORTER - A historic building in Porter is no longer after a grain elevator built in the 1930s and a small attached feed mill caught fire Sunday morning.
　　he Porter Fire Department was called to the Porter Elevator Company at approximately 6:30 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, the department found the aging elevator engulfed in flames and called for mutual aid from area departments.
　　Fire trucks from the Canby, Taunton, Porter, St. Leo and Marshall Fire Departments assisted in battling the blaze.
　　"The main elevator building burned down," Marshall Assistant Fire Chief Tim DeSaer said. "When we were called in there were flames coming out of the roof."
　　DeSaer said the building had metal siding that helped contain the blaze, and mild winds Sunday morning helped prevent the fire from spreading.
　　"The weather conditions really helped," DeSaer said. "There was no wind, so everything was going straight up in the air."
　　With no fire hydrants near the site, fire departments pumped water from a nearby river into tanker trucks for use in battling the flames. The grain elevator was a complete loss, DeSaer said, and fire crews sprayed neighboring buildings with water to keep the fire from spreading.
　　Elevator owner Bruce Tetrick said the structure was likely built in the 1930s; he said it was still in use at the time of the fire.
　　A historic landmark at the elevator, Tetrick said he was sad to see it go.
　　"The main thing is that nobody got hurt," he said.
　　The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation.
