COLOMBO HIGH RISES

　　The government of Colombo, Sri Lanka, has taken action to construct high-rise buildings in the city’s metropolitan area to accommodate 75,000 families living in shanty dwellings or without homes. Discussions are underway with construction companies, and plans have been submitted for approval by the Urban Development Authority. Construction is expected to begin soon.
