ESCALATOR INSPECTORS DISCIPLINED

　　Massachusetts public-safety officials have announced disciplinary action against two-thirds of the state’s escalator inspectors after an investigation found they had approved escalators for public use despite safety violations. Sixty-nine of the state’s 927 escalators were shut down until the issue could be corrected.
