菲律宾的马卡蒂市政府已经命令大楼业主在正在建设的或设计中的高层建筑里安装地震记录仪，同时现有的建筑物里也需要安装传感器。地震记录仪可以在地震时侦测和监控地面运动，也能在海啸时监测建筑的结构反应。这些传感器将会加强该市面对上述灾难的弹性恢复力。

SEISMOGRAMS TO BE INSTALLED


　　Makati City, Philippines, has directed building owners to install seismograms in high-rise buildings under construction and in the design stage, while the sensors should also be installed in existing buildings. Seismograms detect and monitor ground movement during an earthquake, as well as a structure’s response during a typhoon. The sensors are expected to strengthen the city’s resilience against such disasters.
