　　BELTON — The city council voted unanimously Tuesday to approve a low bid from Jones Construction to install an elevator at Town Hall.
　　The low bid came in at $213,000 but the contractors worked with the town to reduce the cost by $25,519, for a total cost of $187,513.
　　The money for the elevator will come partly from a $100,000 grant the town received from the Timken Foundation and a $52,500 federal grant the town has applied for. The city will pay the rest of the cost.
　　Administrator David Watson said the money for the installation had been approved in the current budget.
　　Installation of the elevator is expected to begin within the next two weeks.
