周二晚上一名维修工程师在升降机井里工作时不幸坠亡，事故发生在Lacledes Landing 区著名的卢米埃尔赌场。
　　遇难者是马克•阿夫斯普朗，49岁，来自爱德华兹维尔市。事发后，被送至圣路易斯大学医院，很快被宣布死亡。
　　官方称阿夫斯普朗周二下午9点左右正在停车场的升降机井上作业，突然从脚手架上坠落，此停车场为品尼高公司所有。
　　护理人员9点8分从北拳街900号的赌场得知此消息，发现了遇难者。
　　警察官员称此事件属于意外身亡，但今天晚些时候尸检后，圣路易斯验尸官将做出最后的判定。
　　联邦官员也将介于调查此事。

Lumiere Place maintenance worker killed in elevator shaft fall

　　St. Louis (KSDK) - A maintenance engineer at the popular Lumiere Place Casino complex, on Lacledes Landing, was killed Tuesday evening after falling while he was working on an elevator shaft.
　　Killed in the accident was 49-year-old Mark Affsprung, of Edwardsville.  He was transported to St. Louis University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
　　Officials say Affsprung was working on an elevator shaft in the parking garage at the Pinnacle owned property around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday when he fell to the ground from scaffolding.
　　Paramedics responded to the casino in the 900 block of North Fist at 9:08 p.m. and found the victim.
　　Police officials say the incident is being classified as an accidental death, but St. Louis Medical Examiners will make the final ruling after an autopsy scheduled for later today.
　　Federal officials are expected to be reviewing the incident as well. 
　　Lumiere Place General Manager and Vice President Jeff Babinski released the following statement:
　　"On behalf of everyone at Lumière Place and our sister property, River City Casino, we're deeply saddened by the loss of a Lumière Place team member. Last night an accident occurred in a work area inaccessible to the public. Our deepest sympathies go out to our team member's family."
