蒂森克虏伯电梯公司收购了美国通用电梯营销与服务股份有限公司（GESS）的所有股份。GESS是佛罗里达州最大的电梯维修，服务，改建供应商之一，建立于40多年前。公司总部位于奥兰多市（佛罗里达州），分别在Tampa/Clearwater, Ft. Meyers/Naples, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach 和 Boca Raton都设有分公司。

　　ThyssenKrupp Elevator has acquired all shares in the US company General Elevator Sales and Service, Inc. (GESS). GESS is one of the largest elevator service, maintenance and modernization providers in the state of Florida, where it has been in operation for over 40 years. The company is headquartered in Orlando and has branches in Tampa/Clearwater, Ft. Meyers/Naples, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach and Boca Raton.
　　In May 2011 ThyssenKrupp AG decided on an integrated strategic development program to move the Group forward competitively and sustainably. Achieving growth is one of the aims of this program. In this context the acquisition is an important step toward systematically expanding the company’s technology business.
