　　KONE Inc. today announced it received a score of 98 out of 100 in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) reporting, which is the highest score since KONE was named to the list four years ago. KONE's score - which has improved steadily over four consecutive years - represents good internal data management and the development of solutions to combat climate-change related issues that affect the company's operations and supply chain.
　　The CDP reporting is based on the achievements KONE has made to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. For the third year in a row, KONE is also included in the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI), which lists the top 10 percent of the 260 companies included in the CDP Nordic report.
　　"The CDP results further demonstrate our commitment to improving environmental excellence throughout our organization, to continue on our path to be a sustainable company that our employees and customers can be proud of," said Larry Wash, KONE EVP and Area Director for KONE Americas. "KONE's goal is to develop solutions that are eco-friendly and meet energy reduction goals. These include the energy-efficient KONE EcoSpace®, which consumes 50-70 percent less energy than traditional elevator solutions in the United States."
　　KONE's long-term environmental objectives are aimed at further improving the eco-efficiency of its products and solutions, modernizing existing elevators and escalators to make them more energy-efficient, and reducing the environmental impact of its operations - especially the carbon footprint. In the U.S., KONE has undertaken a number of key initiatives, including converting its fleet vehicles from the Ford Fusion to the Ford Fusion Hybrid, which will save hundreds of thousands of gallons of gasoline over the next several years and will cut down on the company's CO2 emissions.

　　In addition to carbon disclosure, KONE scored an impressive A- from the CDP for the company's performance in mitigating climate change - on a scale of A to E. Scores from A to B are considered high performance.
