据经济时报报道，11月13日，世界最高的雕像——团结雕像——位于印度古吉拉特邦，高182米，其配置的电梯设备在载着政府高层官员、安保人员及媒体工作者的时候发生了两次困梯事件。有信源指出，该电梯在10月31日也失灵过，当时导致约200名参观者从152米高的观景台上走楼梯下来。而且11月13日当天第一次事故中，该电梯无法从首层移动，安保人员强行打开电梯门方能让乘客离场。而大概一分钟后，电梯在上升到观景台前又发生了一次故障。
