英国卫报报道，2019年1月7日，伦敦码头区金丝雀码头地铁站发生了一起自动扶梯事故，造成一名人员死亡，受害者身份未明。警方和医护人员约在下午三时在赶到现场，确认该人员已经死亡。这个地铁站是整个英国最繁忙的地铁站之一，来往乘客称听到有人坠落但事后发现已经无法救回。有关部门认为此次事故为非谋杀事件。

　　An unidentified person died from falling off an escalator at the Canary Wharf Tube station in the London Docklands on January 7, The Guardian reports. Police and paramedics pronounced the person dead on the scene at approximately 3 p.m. Commuters present in what is described as one of the busiest stations in the U.K. said they heard the victim fall, but realized he or she was beyond help. Authorities are not treating the incident as suspicious.
