据今日新闻TODAY报道，4月13日，在新加坡一商场的经理在看过安全录像回放后，称商场内的一台自动扶梯极有可能是因为一台未折叠的婴儿车，导致底部台阶塌陷。该经理称这台自动扶梯有紧急停止机制，是由原厂和新加坡楼宇建设局检测通过的，在这次事件中就起到了作用。新加坡楼宇建设局在早前建议自动扶梯上不要使用婴儿车，考虑到2017和2018年每4起自动扶梯事故就有1起与婴儿车有关。超过92%的自动扶梯事故都是由于不当操作引起的，而不是设备本身的技术性能。

　　An unfolded stroller likely caused the bottom steps of an escalator in a shopping mall in Singapore to collapse on April 13, the mall manager said after reviewing security video, TODAY reports. The manager said the unit’s emergency-stop mechanism, which was being investigated by the OEM vendor and Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority (BCA), was activated by the incident. BCA has previously advised against taking strollers on escalators, observing an average of four escalator-stroller incidents a year in 2017 and 2018. More than 92% of escalator incidents, the BCA says, are caused by unsafe behavior, rather than mechanical problems.
