　　The upgrade of five elevators, including one in which a nurse was severely injured in January, is underway at John Peter Smith (JPS) Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, FOX 4 News is among news outlets to report. Southwest Elevator Co., which has a local office, is handling the work ahead of schedule and expects to have all units running by the end of the year, according to JPS. The company has been “conscientious in its assessment, repair and maintenance” of the elevators, JPS officials said. After a contentious back-and-forth between JPS and its elevator contractor over which entity was responsible for the incident, JPS fired that contractor.
