Power Outage Causes Elevator Situation

　　Two people were stuck in elevators in a medical office building after power went out in the area near Hartford Hospital and Connecticut Children’s Medical center.
　　A transformer blew in a medical office building that houses private doctors offices.
　　One person was stuck in an elevator for about five minutes and another person was stuck in a garage elevator for about 10 minutes.
　　Neither hospital building affected, officials said, and there were no disruptions at the hospitals.
　　When the medical building lost power, the backup generator immediately kicked in and the medical facility is expected to run off that generator for four or five hours, until Connecticut Light & Power repairs the transformer.
　　The only disruption is to traffic inside the hospital area.
