本周四，美国德克萨斯州达拉斯市一座捷运车站的电扶梯在运行中突发故障，导致上面的18名学生和2名大人受伤。
　　报道称，这20名伤者都来自Quinlan市的汤普森小学。
　　事发时，18名学生正乘坐电扶梯向下运行，然后电扶梯突然加速，导致他们被身后乘客推搡，摔落至电扶梯底部。
　　20名伤者中，7名受轻伤的学生已被送至当地儿童医疗中心，7人中有一人腿部受伤。
　　2名大人也受了轻伤，被送往Parkland纪念医院。
　　其他11名伤者在现场接受了简单治疗。

Escalator Malfunction At Texas Transit Station Injures 18 Children

　　Dallas（May 5, 2011)--Eighteen students and two adults who were on a school field trip were injured Thursday when an elevator at a Dallas Area Rapid Transit station evidently malfunctioned.
　　KTVT reports the group was from Thompson Elementary School in Quinlan.
　　DART spokesman Mark Ball says the students were on the down escalator at Mockingbird Station just after noon when it suddenly sped up.
　　The occupants were thrust forward and fell to the bottom of the escalator.
　　Of the 20 who were hurt, seven students with minor injuries were sent to Children's Medical Center, including one believed to have a broken leg.
　　Two adults went to Parkland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
　　Others were treated at the scene.
　　Engineers were inspecting the elevator to determine what went wrong.
