本周三，在美国谢尔顿高中（康涅狄格州），一部电梯在一层和二层之间突发故障停运，导致十三名学生被困达20分钟。
　　学校在大约下午1点发现电梯停运，当时有人听见有学生喊叫并敲击电梯内墙求救。
　　消防人员接到报警后赶到现场，靠人工操作将电梯降至一层。
　　被困学生无人受伤。
　　事发前，一名学生拄拐进入电梯，其他12名学生跟随进入。
　　报道称学生被困后，发现电梯内的电话无法使用，手机也不通，因为电梯内没有信号。

Elevator keeps students trapped for 20 minutes

　　SHELTON -- Thirteen students were stuck inside an elevator between the first and second floors at Shelton High School for about 20 minutes Wednesday.
　　Personnel at the school realized the elevator was stuck around 1 p.m. when they heard the students yelling and banging on the walls of the elevator, asking for help.
　　Fire personnel from two fire companies responded to the scene and were able to manually lower the elevator to the first floor.
　　There were no injuries.
　　Apparently one student on crutches got onto the elevator, and 12 other students followed him.
　　First reports said the phone inside the elevator was inoperable and students were unable to use their cell phones to call for help because there was no cell phone service inside the elevator.
