Elevator repair firm rewins authority pact By Pittsburgh Tribune-Review 


　　A Cecil elevator repair company that lost a $440,288 maintenance contract with the Pittsburgh Housing Authority won it back on Thursday, but at less than half of the original amount.
　　The authority's board of directors voted to pay Industrial Commercial Elevator $199,486 to maintain up to 25 elevators for three years.
　　In May, authority officials terminated the firm's larger contract three weeks after the Tribune-Review reported that Industrial Commercial Elevator erroneously listed two companies on its bid application as woman-owned businesses.
　　In the new contract, the company's woman- or minority-owned subcontractors are Bulldog Office Products of Robinson and Southern Elevator & Electric Supply of Florida, said Chuck Rohrer, an authority spokesman.
　　Rohrer said the original contract was for five years. The new one is for three and at a lower labor rate, which accounts for the price decrease.
