　　2015年4月7日，现代电梯表示已首次完成了位于首尔龙山高达21层的LG Uplus新总部大楼内双层电梯的安装。

　　该种双层电梯有两个电梯轿厢上下连接在一起，在同一时间内搭载连续两个楼层的乘客，使一道电梯井的运客量达到原来的1.8倍。韩国领先的电梯制造商现代电梯表示，在LG Uplus大楼内已经安装了两套双层电梯和四套单层电梯，并且已经全部投入运行。现代电梯还提到，双层电梯还配备了专用的地面距离可调装置，这使得高低两个电梯箱与楼层地面的距离保持精确的一致，另外还安装了其他尖端科技，以降低运行中的震荡感、噪音及气压变化。

　　现代电梯还表示，楼内的所有电梯都与HELIAS（现代电梯智能门禁系统）同步，该系统可以智能分析客流变化，在每层部署最合适的电梯装置。

　　Hyundai Elevator said on April 7 that it has completed the installation of the first double deck elevators in LG Uplus’ 21-story new headquarter building which is located in Yongsan, Seoul.

　　A double-deck elevator is an elevator type with two cages attached together, one on top of the other, in order to boost the passenger capacity of an elevator shaft up to 1.8 times by allowing passengers on two consecutive floors to be able to use the elevator at the same time.

　　The leading elevator manufacturer in Korea said that it has completed the installation of two double-deck elevators as well as four single-deck elevators in the LG Uplus building, and all the units are now in operation. Hyundai Elevator added that the double deck elevators also feature a special floor distance adjustable device which precisely maintains the floor distance between the higher and lower cage, and other sophisticated technologies to minimize vibration, noise, and air pressure during operation.

　　The company also said that all the elevators in the building are synced with its HELIAS (Hyundai Elvator Intelligent Access System) which is an intelligence passenger traffic analyzing system to optimize to deploy a best elevator unit on each floor.
