据印度时报报道，印度东中央铁路局正在计划加快对A-1，A和C类火车站的电梯设备安装工作进行加速。A-1和A类火车站基本为客运车站，而C类则是货运车站。目前已经有五个车站完成了安装自动扶梯的工程，其中包括Patna Junction. 其他许多站正在筹备安装新电梯设备，这也是第一期工程在13个火车站安装新自动扶梯、14个火车站安装新电梯当中的一部分。

　　　INSTALLATION OF VT EQUIPMENT EXPEDITED IN INDIA

　　India’s East Central Railway plans to expedite installation of vertical-transportation (VT) equipment at all A-1, A and C category stations, The Times of India reports. A-1 and A stations are primarily for passengers, while C stations depend mostly on transport of goods for revenue. Installation of escalators has been completed at five stations, including Patna Junction. Many other stations are also set to get new equipment, part of an overall effort that will see new escalators at 13 stations and new lifts at 14 in the first phase.
