印度东北铁路系统（Northeast Frontier Railway）在近日继续推进安装36台电梯和29台自动扶梯的计划，其中包括在阿萨姆邦最大的城市古瓦哈蒂已经启用的两台自动扶梯和一台电梯，以及3月9日在阿萨姆邦另一座城镇在安装的两台自动扶梯。包括另外六台施工当中的自动扶梯，古瓦哈蒂的铁路站的自动扶梯和电梯数目已经翻了一番。印度东北铁路系统计划在2020年完成新电梯设备的安装工程，其中今年要安装16台自动扶梯。今年还有12台电梯需要安装，还有24台将在2020年完成。

　　India's Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway has gotten moving on a plan to install 36 elevators and 29 escalators, with officials inaugurating two escalators and one elevator at Guwahati — the largest city in the state of Assam — and laying the foundation stone for two escalators in another Assam town on March 9. The improvements at Guwahati, for which the foundation stone was laid for six additional escalators, doubled its number of lifts and escalators. NF Railway aims to have all new units installed by 2020, including 16 escalators to be installed this year. Twelve new lifts will be installed this year, with another 24 installed in 2020.
