近日，英国电梯及自动扶梯协会（Lift and Escalator Industry Association）提出了一条新的电梯及自动扶梯学徒制标准：电梯及自动扶梯开拓组（Lift and Escalator Trailblazer Group）第3级标准和电梯及自动扶梯学徒评估计划（Assessment Plan），该新标已由学徒及技术教育研究院（Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education）通过。该标准适用于电梯及自动扶梯行业内发展能够对电梯及自动扶梯进行安装、维护、维修及更新等作业的从业者。此项目已经投入共计21000英镑（约合27475美元），用以提高项目的强度和综合性。另外，“学徒”这一角色的年龄限制也已经取消，因此行业内的雇主们可以面向更广泛的从业者进行招聘。

　　LEIA PROMOTES U.K. APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

　　The U.K.’s Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA) has been promoting a new Lift and Escalator Apprenticeship Standard: the Lift and Escalator Trailblazer Group’s Level 3 Standard and Assessment Plan for Lift and Escalator apprentices, which was approved for delivery by the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education. The standard is available to the industry to develop employees capable of carrying out the installation or maintenance, repair and modernization of lifts and escalators. A maximum funding level of GBP21,000 (US$27,475) has been awarded for the program. This level of funding allows for the building of an enhanced and comprehensive program. Additionally, age barriers have been removed from the “apprentice” role, so employers can recruit a wider range of candidates.
