　　你愿意成为一名职业足球运动员还是一家跨国集团的全球首席执行官？

　　当然并不是很多人有这样的机会做出选择，但Thomas有。他曾是一位职业足球守门员，曾与多位著名足球运动员一起踢过比赛。当被问及在退役后的多年间，是否曾经幻想过自己在世界杯球场叱咤风云。Thomas坚定地回答，他并不后悔自己退役的选择，同时也强调自己非常享受做职业运动员的经历。聊及他从热爱的足球运动中悟出的管理经验时，他强调团队合作的重要性，一支拥有明星球员的球队也可能在比赛中无所收获，相比于个人的能力，团队的整体能力才是成功的关键。

　　中国市场是迅达集团非常重要的市场

　　中国在全球市场份额中至少占三分之二。Thomas表示，在中国区担任首席执行官的经历让他大开眼界，不仅让他更好地了解了这个重要市场，而且帮助他学会如何应对“速度”。在中国，市场需求变化迅速，客户们在遇到问题时也需要电扶梯供应商能够快速提供解决方案；他将这些积累到的经验运用到现在的企业管理中。

　　城市化进程依然是全球发展的主要驱动力之一，全球范围已经有半数以上的人口是城市人口。据Thomas说，未来10-15年间，在此基础上还将增加10亿城市人口。城市化是迅达电梯业务模式的基石，在关注新梯市场的同时，也要把握住维保与旧梯改造市场出现的机遇。

　　During the world cup, Mr. Thomas Oetterli, CEO of Schindler Elevator Group, has been interviewed by CNN Swiss news channel.

　　Mr. Thomas told that he was a professional goalkeeper and has played in team with many famous football players. Compared with the individual's ability, the overall ability of the team is the key to win the game.

　　Thomas says, market demand in China has changed rapidly and customers need an effective solution to when they encounter problems; he applies the experience to current business management.

　　In the next 10 to 15 years, there will be an increase of 1 billion urban population. Urbanization is the cornerstone of Schindler’s elevator business mode. While paying attention to the elevator market, Kone should also grasp the opportunities emerging in the elevator maintenance and modernization market.
