阿曼国内第一座电梯停车场位于Al Khuwayr市城市四季酒店，停车场初期已经完工。
　　整个停车场工程将于今年9月完成，届时停车场将会容纳306台汽车。工程由加拿大北洋公司承包，公司的现代电梯分部负责电梯建设。现代电梯总经理R Thasleem Khan说：“如今的停车位供不应求，电梯停车场可以缓解停车难的问题。电梯停车场在欧洲早已广泛使用。”
　　工程也遇到了困难：吊车设备在城市狭窄的街道难以施展开。吊车司机Joe说：“街道太窄了，起吊器不能360度旋转，吊车都很难保持平衡。”
　　后来，工程人员给吊车底部安装了稳固的液压千斤顶，解决了吊车不稳的问题。电梯停车场工程去年开工，工程包括17座9米高的停车楼，每座可容纳18辆汽车。

Oman: First phase of elevator parking at City Seasons Hotel complete

　　The first phase of elevator parking at City Seasons Hotel in Al Khuwayr has been completed. This is the first such parking project to be executed in Oman.
　　Once complete in September, the elevator parking will accommodate 306 vehicles. The project is being executed by North Ocean Enterprises. R Thasleem Khan, general manager of Hyundai Elevator Division, North Ocean Enterprises said, "Parking spaces have become priceless these days. And with the facility of elevator parking, which has been widely used in Europe for more than 20 years, we can get some relief."
　　The project had its own share of difficulty as cranes initially found it tough to manoeuvre in the narrow lane where the project is being executed. Joe, a crane operator with the company executing the project, said, "With an area too narrow for a 360-degree movement, it was difficult for the crane to maintain balance."
　　The problem was resolved by setting up a special hydraulic jack which held the crane firm by giving it a strong base. The work on the elevator parking began last year. The elevator parking will have 17 tower blocks with nine levels each. Each block will accommodate 18 cars.
